DESIGNERS, INVENTORS, MANUFACTURERS:
BE PART OF THE COMPETITION AND THE EXHIBIT

at the 30th International Exhibition of Inventions,
Techniques and New Products
,
in Geneva from May 1 to May 5, 2002

The 30th International Exhibition of Inventions, Techniques and New Products is a premier event for the future of your new product. This exhibition hosts more than 1,000 inventions, 40 countries and 85,000 visitors. Because it brings buyers and inventors together under the same roof, licences can be granted and new commercial outlets found. At every event, the amount of business transacted there exceeds 30 million US$!

As part of the exhibition, there is an invention, techniques and new product competition for the participants. An international jury composed of 60 specialists awards some 35 prizes.

Every year, by inviting local designers and enterprises, the Institute organizes the Quebec delegation to the exhibition thereby enabling them and their products to be noticed. In 2001, all five Quebec products presented there earned awards, emphasizing their international value.

Since 1998, Quebec participants have won 9 prizes and 14 medals, including:

Infant motion sensor Angelcare™ (Angel & Co. And Michel Dallaire Design industriel inc.): Geneva Exhibition Grand Prize in 1999.

Aura workstation (Poetic Technologies and Alto Design Inc.): Invention Oscar in 2000.

Water-Gate dam (MegaSecur Inc.): Industrial Design Award, City of Geneva Fire and Rescue Department Award in 2001. The dam also earned its inventor the Grand Prize of the 2001 IDM Awards competition.
