Biography
Dave Mason was born in England, grew
up in Montreal and Vancouver, and formed
Dave Mason & Associates immediately
upon graduation from college. After
twelve years specializing in corporate
communication design, he and co-founders
Greg and Pat Samata formed SamataMason
Inc. in 1995. His work has been honoured
in numerous national and international
competitions and publications including
AIGA 365, the Art Directors Club, the
Mead Annual Report Show, the AR100 Annual
Report Show, the American Center for
Design 100 Show, Communication Arts,
Applied Arts, Graphis, Print, Step,
How and Designer's Workshop (Japan)
Magazine. He has served as a juror for
many design competitions and is a frequent
guest speaker at industry functions
and design schools. Dave is a past-president
of the Society of Graphic Designers
of Canada, BC Chapter, a member of AIGA
and co-founder of OpinionLab, Inc.,
the leader in automated web user feedback
systems.
