Biography
Douglas J. Cardinal began practicing
architecture in Edmonton in 1964. In
January of 1976 he incorporated under
the name of Douglas J. Cardinal Architect
Limited. Since its inception, the firm
has undertaken projects of a diverse
nature - from individual houses to institutional
and governmental projects to twenty-five
year community development plans. Douglas
J. Cardinal is known nationally and
internationally for his signature architectural
designs, demonstrated in projects such
as his award-winning St. Marys
Church in Red Deer and the Canadian
Museum of Civilization in Hull.
