Biography
Daniel Arbour started his career in
1968 in the City of Montreal's Urban
Planning Department before moving to
and becoming General Director of the
Service daménagement du
territoire de la région aéroportuaire
(SATRA) in 1970.
In 1975, he joined Groupe Lavalin as
President of the Urban Planning Consulting
Division, Daniel Arbour & Associés.
He eventually became President and Chief
Executive Officer of Lavalin Envirotech
Inc. a group of engineering and design
offices specializing in urban planning,
economics, earth sciences and the environment.
Since 1990, Daniel Arbour & Associés
has evolved into an independent and
diverse multidisciplinary engineering
and design firm. It contains urban planners,
architects, landscape architects, urban
designers, engineers, economists, and
specialists in environmental sciences,
strategic planning and project management.
It includes the following divisions:
Municonsult, Pluram-Urbatique, Expertise
3S, Groupe Leblond-Bouchard, Alliance
Environnement (joint venture). As well
as being present in every region of
Quebec, it also has an office established
in China since 2003.
