CAROLINE
SAULNIER
 Biography
|
Driven
by a passion for innovation, Caroline
Saulnier spent five years moulding
the future of Synetik design, a company
working in occupational health and
safety. Quite naturally, this field,
combined with her passion, prompted
her to seek perfection in ergonomics.
In 2004, this young industrial design
graduate of Université de Montréal
began her Master's in Industrial Engineering
to expand her knowledge.
However, Caroline Saulnier was not going to wait for the university's stamp of
approval before making her mark in design. She was still studying when she designed
Soffio, a cardiovascular resuscitation pad that earned her an award of excellence
in the Association de l’industrie des technologies de la santé research
and innovation competition. But it was her Stag 4 stool that enabled her to launch
her business and become a familiar name to industry giants like Bombardier, Paccar,
Boeing, IBM.
Her business acumen quickly earned Caroline Saulnier the community's recognition.
Among other things, she has received numerous awards for entrepreneurship, including
from the HEC-Poly-UdeM for Innovation and Entrepreneurship, the Défi de
l’entrepreneuriat jeunesse, the Concours Pierre-Péladeau en entrepreneurship
and the contest Les Anges financiers. The IDM in turn celebrates this young woman's
creative genius by presenting her with its 2007 CGI Young Designer Award.
